Story 3:15

Authors Note: In this piece I will explain what my prediction is in the story 3:15 and write what this book reminds me of. Also, I will tell how I think the ending of the story should go.

Everyone has that one teacher that they really do not like. And maybe there are some teacher's that can't stand some kids. The story 3:15 is about Mr. Mason who is a mean, old, and grumpy teacher who hates kid who are loud, noisy, and obnoxious. That is exactly how Troy, the new kid is. When Mr. Mason gave him that jar with the purple stuff in it I predicted that Troy would pass out when he smelled the purple thing in the jar because he looked a little lightheaded after he sniffed it, but my prediction was wrong, what really happened was that there was something in the jar that as soon as Troy took a small sniff of it took away his loudness and him being immature. I like what I predicted for an ending better because it would be interesting to see what the other people at school would say to him, but he wouldn’t know what they were talking about because he lost his memory. I predict that later in the story  that Troy will be a good student and a teacher’s pet. Then later he would slowly become like Dale because no one wants to talk to him or be his friend then he would become like a zombie.

There are a lot of hints in the story that tell that Troy most likely will end up like Dale. How he won’t talk to anyone and look depressed all the time. After Troy put the jar away from his face he started talking very maturely and being polite. Also, when Mr. Mason took the jar away from Troy he had a whole shelf of different jars with different names on different jars. You can predict that Mr. Mason has done this to many kids in the school and you can tell that Troy will end up like the other kids and won’t talk to anyone and no one would want to talk to him.

This story reminds me a lot of the book Matilda, by Roald Dahl, because the principal of the  school is also really mean and grumpy. Whenever she comes by the kids she senses off a feeling that gets the kids frightened by her and they get too scared to talk to her. Those are the same feeling the kids get when Mr. Mason is around too. Also, she hates kids who are really loud and immature and if there is a kid that gets on her nerve she will find a way to punish them somehow. That is how Mr. Mason will deal with kids too.

If the story happened the way I predicted, I think it will go like this. As he fainted on the floor you could hear a big thump out into the halls. Everyone was confused and scared and thinking what did Mr. Mason just done to Troy. As a couple hours went by Troy slowly got up, he was so confused on what just had happened and why he was on the floor. He carefully opened the door and he saw a bunch of people starting at him and people shouting "What happened to you"? "Oh my god he's still alive!?” "What did he do to you"? Troy had no idea what was going on and why people were shouting at him, he just ignored them and walked away. And from that day on, no one ever talked to him ever again. He was just another zombie at school just like Dale.
